I think it’s clear that AI is here in full force. I remember when I first heard about Browzwear I was instantly intrigued. I had the opportunity to start using this technology during my time at Under Armour. It wasn’t the easiest tool to learn and definitely came with a learning curve, but the benefits were immense.

Whenever possible, we reviewed first prototypes in 3D, made comments and adjustments, and then moved on to physical samples. My little sustainable heart was so happy. Not only did we save time, but we also reduced fabric waste and eased the workload for our factories and technical design teams.

This was my first real, hands-on experience working with 3D technology. I’ll admit, at first I was nervous. With all the talk about AI taking our jobs, I worried about what the future of design might look like and whether these programs would take over the creative process.

However, after working with several of these tools, I no longer feel that way. On the contrary, I truly believe these programs are here to support designers and help alleviate many of the challenges the apparel industry faces.

One day while scrolling through LinkedIn, I came across a Raspberry AI competition, jackpot. I had been curious about the software for a while and knew I had to dive in and see what it was all about. I learned a lot, pushed myself creatively, and had so much fun in the process.

Currently, there are 3 big softwears am hearing alot of buzz on: Browswear, CLO & Raspberry AI. So, what are their similaries and diffrences and how can they help us in our creative prosses.

Browzwear

  • Technical 3D design for product development focus on accurate fit and manufacturing preparation.

  • Suited for large teams and brands that need to work from idea to factory floor.

CLO

  • Outstanding creative visualization & fabric simulation great for designers who want realistic draping and style refinement.

  • Well-liked for design iteration and prototyping before sampling.

Raspberry AI

  • Leverages AI to accelerate creative workflows ideal for instant photorealistic imagery, virtual try-ons, campaigns, and rapid ideation.

  • Not a direct 3D CAD tool but extends and enhances what 3D tools produce for visual storytelling.

Key Differences_high level

  • Type of tool: Browzwear & CLO are 3D CAD/simulation platforms; Raspberry AI is a generative AI design & visualization engine.

  • Output focus: Browzwear/CLO generate detailed 3D garment models; Raspberry AI generates final visual assets(photorealistic renders, marketing media).

  • Workflow stage: Browzwear is strongest during production preparation, CLO at design & prototyping, and Raspberry AI at visualization & market activation

What do you think? will you be learning any of these new softwears, if so which one and why ?
